Peruvian faces 8-year term for killing Japanese man

LIMA, Peru - Ricardo Sanchez is on trial on Oct. 6, 2010, at the Lima high court in which he was sentenced to 8 years in prison for killing Japanese man Tadao Kimura in 2001 in Japan. It is the first case in which Peru's judicial authorities have punished one of its citizens at the request of the Japanese government as the two countries have not signed an extradition treaty for criminals.
