Singapore-funded facility opens in disaster-hit Miyako
MIYAKO, Japan - A tape-cutting ceremony is held Nov. 15, 2011, to open a support center for people affected by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Miyako, Iwate Prefecture, in northeastern Japan. The facility was built with 70 million yen in contributions from citizens of Singapore. (Kyodo)
