Gov't-backed fund to buy Panasonic LCD plant
OSAKA, Japan - Undated file photo shows a liquid crystal display panel plant in Mobara, Chiba Prefecture, owned by a Panasonic Corp. subsidiary. The Innovation Network Corporation of Japan, an investment fund owned largely by the government, said Nov. 15, 2011, it has agreed in principle with Panasonic to buy the plant for use by a joint LCD venture it is forming with three other manufacturers.
