SEOUL, South Korea - A part of North Korea is seen from the northern tip of Yeonpeyong Island, South Korea, in the Yellow Sea near the disputed western sea border with North Korea on Nov. 21. 2011. The Korean characters set up on the mountain express a slogan praising former North Korean leader Kim Il Sung. Nov. 23 marks one year since the North fired artillery onto the island, killing two soldiers and two civilians. (Kyodo)
