12,000-yr old human bones, tools found in Okinawa

NAHA, Japan - Photo taken Oct. 19, 2012, in Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, shows a child's fossilized canine tooth (top) and stone tools made of quartz, all estimated to be about 12,000 years old using radiocarbon dating, that have been found in a cave in the city of Nanjo in the prefecture. The Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum said the same day it has discovered human and animal bones as well as stone tools made of quartz, all from the Old Stone Age, in the cave. (Kyodo)
