Japanese chef wins Italian cooking contest
TOKYO, Japan - Daisuke Yamazaki (L), a 35-year-old chef at an Italian restaurant in Tokyo's Ginza district, shakes hands with Francesco Formiconi, president of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, at the Hattori Nutrition College in Tokyo on Dec. 14, 2011, after winning first prize in an Italian cooking competition held the same day. Yamazaki served appetizer and pasta dishes featuring ingredients from Venice in the contest which was organized by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Japan. (Kyodo)
