Pearl Harbor survivor back to battle site 70 years later

HONOLULU, United States - Former U.S. Navy Chief Yeoman (sailor) James Dewitt looks out over the sunken remains of the USS Arizona on Dec 5, 2011, ahead of the 70th anniversary of the 1941 Japanese attack. This visit was Dewitt's first time back to Pearl Harbor in 70 years. Many of the 1,177 who lost their lives when the ship sustained a direct hit are entombed inside the battleship. Having seen the ''first shot'' of the war between the two countries, and now being able to visit the USS Missouri, where it ended, brings a sense of closure, Dewitt said in an interview. (Kyodo)
