Groundbreaking for test facility for CO2 trapping
SAPPORO, Japan - A groundbreaking ceremony for a large-scale test facility for carbon dioxide capture and storage (CCS), first of its kind in Japan, is held in Tomakomai, Hokkaido, on July 2, 2014. CCS is a technology to capture carbon dioxide separated from large-scale emission sources and store it in geological formations. (Kyodo)
