5 detained over China expired meat scandal
SHANGHAI, China - A police car enters meat processor Shanghai Husi Food Co. in Shanghai, China, on July 23, 2014, as police and the city's food and drug administration launched a joint investigation over a food scandal. Husi allegedly used expired meat, in some cases over a year old, in products destined for sale at fast-food outlets such as McDonald's, Kentucky Fried Chicken and Starbucks. (Kyodo)
