Mayor remains opposed to radioactive waste disposal plan

KAMI, Japan - Mayor Hirobumi Inomata (L) of Kami, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, confers with Senior Vice Environment Minister Shinji Inoue at the town hall on Aug. 20, 2014, over a plan to bury radioactive waste from the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear plant at a Kami site for permanent disposal.
