Takekaze proves oldest wrestler to get "sekiwake" rank
TOKYO, Japan - Takekaze, the oldest sumo wrestler to reach the third-highest rank of "sekiwake" since World War II at 35 years and two months, points to his name in the rankings for the Autumn Grand Sumo Tournament in Tokyo on Sept. 1, 2014. He needed a record 68 tourneys to make sekiwake since entering the "makuuchi" upper division. (Kyodo)
