Mt. Fuji gets season's 1st snowcap

NAGOYA, Japan - Photo taken from a Kyodo News airplane shows Mt. Fuji, Japan's tallest mountain, covered with a thin layer of snow on Oct. 16, 2014. The 3,776-meter mountain got its first snowcap of the season the same day, 16 days later than average but three days earlier than last year, the Kofu Local Meteorological Observatory said. (Kyodo)
