Panel calls for new university entrance tests
TOKYO, Japan - Japan's education minister Hakubun Shimomura (L) receives a proposal for a new university entrance test system from Yuichiro Anzai, chief of the Central Council for Education, on Dec. 22, 2014, at his ministry in Tokyo. Under the proposal, "evaluation" tests would be conducted multiple times a year so applicants can use the best results for their college entrance. (Kyodo)
