Dredging, drilling under way to expand part of Suez Canal

ISMAILIA, Egypt - Dredging and drilling work on land and at sea for building a new waterway to expand part of the Suez Canal in northeastern Egypt is shown to the press on Jan. 14, 2015. The 35-kilometer waterway of the 193-km canal, expected to be completed in August, will convert part of the one-way canal into a two-way stretch. (Kyodo)
