Japan launches postquake reconstruction agency

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda (L) and Tatsuo Hirano, the Cabinet minister who heads a new agency to promote the reconstruction of areas ravaged by the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami, put up a signboard bearing the name of the agency at the new entity in Tokyo on Feb. 10, 2012, as it was launched the same day.
