Okinawa children play in snow

NAHA, Japan - Children play in snow in subtropical Naha, Okinawa Prefecture, on Feb. 28, 2012. The snow was transported to the southwestern Japanese island prefecture for the event from Aomori Prefecture, northeastern Japan, about 2,000 kilometers away. A similar event in Naha using snow from Aomori Prefecture had been canceled due to radiation fears voiced by some people evacuated to Okinawa from the mainland after the March 2011 quake and ensuing nuclear crisis.
