Former United Red Army member Nagata dies on death row
TOKYO, Japan - Hiroko Nagata (C) is escorted to the Metropolitan Police Department in Tokyo in May 1972 after being arrested over the murders of comrades in the now-defunct United Red Army. Nagata died on death row at the Tokyo Detention House aged 65 on Feb. 5, 2011, following a long battle with brain cancer, several sources close to her said on Feb. 6. (Kyodo)
