Shinkansen services partially resume
MORIOKA, Japan - Passengers board a bullet train at JR Morioka Station in Iwate Prefecture as the Tohoku Shinkansen Line partially resumed services between Morioka and Shin-Aomori stations on March 22, 2011. It is expected to take a month for services on the line, which were suspended after the devastating March 11 quake and tsunami, to fully resume. (Kyodo)
