New recruits mark 1st day of work as Toyota, JAL vow fresh start
TOKYO, Japan - Kazuo Inamori, chairman of Japan Airlines Corp., addresses an initiation ceremony held inside a hanger at Tokyo's Haneda airport on April 1, 2010. About 550 new recruits from 18 group firms attended the ceremony as the company's management promised to turn around Japan's biggest airline, which filed for bankruptcy in January. (Kyodo)
