Haiku post placed in Belgium
BRUSSELS, Belgium - European Council President Herman Van Rompuy (L) puts his haiku, written in English, into a ''haiku post'' during a ceremony in Brussels, Belgium, on April 19, 2012. At right is Katsuhito Noshi, mayor of Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, known as the hometown of renowned haiku poet Shiki Masaoka. The haiku post will be placed at the office of Japan's mission to the European Union in Brussels.
