Radioactive water flows into sea from Fukushima plant
TOKYO, Japan - Supplied photo taken April 5, 2012, shows a water treatment pipe at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear complex in Fukushima Prefecture, from which water contaminated with radioactive strontium leaked. The pipe part wrapped in plastic (C top) is where the leakage occurred. Plant operator Tokyo Electric Power Co. said the same day that about 12 tons of contaminated water leaked and a large portion had probably flowed into the Pacific Ocean.
