Concerns remain over widespread power-saving targets

TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Cabinet ministers hold a meeting on energy and the environment at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on May 14, 2012. In anticipation of tight electricity supply conditions in the summer of 2012 without nuclear energy, the government has taken the unusual step of drafting numerical targets for reduced power usage in extensive areas served by seven of Japan's 10 utilities.
