Protest in Taipei
TAIPEI, Taiwan - Protesters take to the streets of Taipei on May 19, 2012, a day before President Ma Ying-jeou is sworn in for a second term, to demand Ma apologize for recent flip-flops in government policy and Premier Sean Chen step down. The main opposition Democratic Progressive Party organized the demonstration to protest a series of government plans since Ma was reelected in January. (Kyodo)
