Cherry blossoms come out in Sapporo
SAPPORO, Japan - People walk under cherry trees on the grounds of Hokkaido Shrine in Sapporo on May 7, 2010, as the local meteorological observatory declared cherry blossoms bloomed in the city on Japan's northernmost main island Hokkaido. The ''someihoshino'' cherry blossoms in Sapporo, which came out two days later than on average, are expected to be in full bloom on May 10. (Kyodo)
