ASAHIKAWA, Japan - CORRECTED BOTTOM LINE Auctioneers examine a black-rind watermelon that was priced at 250,000 yen for the year's first auction at a fresh produce market in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, on June 13, 2011. The year's first auctions for the fancy fruit from the Hokkaido town of Toma were held in Asahikawa and Sapporo, with a melon fetching 300,000 yen in Sapporo, the highest price that day. (Kyodo)
