PM Kan receives reconstruction design
TOKYO, Japan - Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan (R) receives a set of proposals on how to reconstruct areas ravaged by the March 11 earthquake and tsunami from Makoto Iokibe, head of the Reconstruction Design Council, at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on June 25, 2011. The key advisory panel suggests the government consider raising core taxes for a limited time while cutting wasteful spending. (Kyodo)
