Kan, Takutoko to run in DPJ presidential election
TOKYO, Japan - Deputy Prime Minister Naoto Kan (L), who doubles as finance minister, and Shinji Tarutoko, chairman of the House of Representatives Environment Committee from the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, declare their candidacies for the DPJ's presidential election during separate news conferences at the DPJ's headquarters in Tokyo on June 3, 2010.
