ASEAN goodwill caravan comforts disaster victims

ISHINOMAKI, Japan - Volunteers of a ''goodwill caravan'' from Southeast Asian nations serve Thai food to survivors of the March 11 earthquake and tsunami in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, on June 4, 2011. The group, led by Surin Pitsuwan, secretary general of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, and including Indonesian and Thai survivors of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, visited the site struck by the disaster to encourage the survivors.
