Sanrio reaches settlement in Miffy copyright suit

TOKYO, Japan - Combination photo shows Dutch rabbit character Miffy (L) and Cathy (R) of Japan's Sanrio Co. Sanrio said on June 7, 2011, it has reached a settlement in a copyright suit launched by Mercis BV of the Netherlands, which claimed that the Cathy character appears too much like Miffy created by Dick Bruna.
