China confirms pursuit of aircraft carrier program

TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows the Varyag at Dalian port in Liaoning Province, China, on July 1, 2011. China officially confirmed for the first time on July 27 that it is in pursuit of an aircraft carrier program, according to Xinhua News Agency.
