Philippine wartime rape victim in Manila rally
MANILA, Philippines - Isabelita Vinuya (R), 79, president of Malaya Lolas (Free Grandmothers), an organization of Filipino women sexually abused by Japanese soldiers during World War II, speaks at a rally on Aug. 10, 2011, near the presidential palace in Manila to ask for President Benigno Aquino's backing of their cause. Sixty-six years since the end of the war, the group is still demanding a sincere apology and legal compensation from the Japanese government. (Kyodo)
