26th anniversary of 1985 jumbo jet crash
UENO, Japan - Relatives of victims of the 1985 Japan Airlines jumbo jet crash join their hands in prayers before a grave marking at the crash site called ''Osutaka Ridge'' in the village of Ueno, Gunma Prefecture, on Aug. 12, 2011, the 26th anniversary of the accident. All but four of the 524 passengers and crew members were killed as the Boeing 747 from Tokyo to Osaka crashed into the mountain in Ueno. It remains the worst single-aircraft accident in aviation history to date. (Kyodo)
