Japan's biggest giant salamander dies
TOKYO, Japan - This June 8, 2010, photo shows Japan's largest-known giant salamander ''Ryuu'' in a salamander conservation center in Maniwa, Okayama Prefecture. City officials announced Aug. 13 that the salamander, presumed to be over 100 years old, has died, probably of old age. (Kyodo)
