4 years after drunk driving tragedy
FUKUOKA, Japan - Fukuoka municipal government employees pray in front of zizo statues at a temple in the city on Aug. 25, 2010. The statues are dedicated to three young children killed in a drunk driving accident involving a Fukuoka city government employee four years ago. Penalties against drunk driving were tightened after the incident. Zizo, from Ksitigarbha in Buddhism, is considered in Japan as the guardian of children. (Kyodo)
