Zaripova wins 3,000 meters steeplechase at world c'ships

DAEGU, South Korea - Russia's Yuliya Zaripova (R) runs through a water jump in the final of the women's 3,000 meters steeplechase at the world athletics championships in Daegu, South Korea, on Aug. 30, 2011. Zaripova won her first-ever gold medal at the championships in 9:07.03, the fastest time in the world this season. (Kyodo)
