Hot dog eating champ sentenced probation
NEW YORK, United States - Takeru Kobayashi, the Japanese former hot dog eating champion, smiles after receiving a court sentence in New York on Aug. 5, 2010. Kobayashi was sentenced to 6 months' probation for obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, trespassing and disorderly conduct. He scuffled with a police officer at this year's 4th of July contest in New York, in which he did not participate due to a contract dispute with the event organizer. (Kyodo)
