Fujimura to be chief Cabinet secretary
TOKYO, Japan - Osamu Fujimura, deputy secretary general of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, heads to a room for DPJ executives in the Diet building in Tokyo on Sept. 1, 2011. Incoming Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda selected Fujimura, one of the lawmakers closest to the premier-elect, as chief Cabinet secretary and top government spokesman. (Kyodo)
