Keene moves to Japan permanently
NARITA, Japan - Donald Keene, a prominent Japanese literature scholar, receives a bouquet as he arrived at Narita airport east of Tokyo from New York on Sept. 1, 2011. Keene, who taught at Columbia University in New York for 56 years, retired in April to move to Japan, where he aims to become a citizen. (Kyodo)
