Lanterns released on Hudson River
NEW YORK, United States - Lanterns float on the Hudson River in New York on Sept. 11, 2011, the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, as they were released to commemorate the victims of the attacks as well as those of Japan's March 11 earthquake and tsunami. The day was also the half-year mark of the Japanese disaster. (Kyodo)
