Biodiversity talks
NAGOYA, Japan - Japanese Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Minister Michihiko Kano (R) and Ahmed Djoghlaf, executive secretary to the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity, shake hands as a meeting to discuss an international accord on compensation for damage to biological diversity and public health from genetically modified crops starts in Nagoya on Oct. 11, 2010.
