Japan's Saiki meets Chinese officials
BEIJING, China - Akitaka Saiki, director general of the Japanese Foreign Ministry's Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, leaves the Chinese Foreign Ministry in Beijing on Oct. 13, 2010, after meetings with the ministry's top official on Japan policy and Wu Dawei, China's special envoy on Korean Peninsula policy. Saiki is believed to have discussed a possible Japan-China summit on the sidelines of Association of Southeast Asian Nations meetings in Hanoi slated for late October as well as the resumption of the six-party talks on North Korea's nuclear program.
