              Sales campaign for mid-summer gifts under way in Osaka

              OSAKA, Japan - Sales assistants dressed in kimono greet customers with shopping catalogs at a department store in Osaka as major department stores in the city kick off their mid-summer gift sales campaign. Early gift shoppers get as much as 15 percent discount in select mid-summer gifts, according to Hankyu Department Store, one of two stores in Osaka that launched the campaign on May 16.
