The A19 Tees Viaduct, or Tees Flyover, is a high-level six-lane dual carriageway road bridge in the North East of England, carrying the main A19 trunk road north-south across the River Tees. It is a pinch point of the region's road network, carrying in excess of 100,000 vehicles per day. The bridge is built between 1973 and 1975 and opens to traffic in November 1975. Iran-Life And Fun Under The Shadow Of Nuclear Power Plant

An Iranian man and his young daughter are visiting a maritime museum in Bushehr, Iran's first nuclear seaport city, located in Bushehr province, 1090km (677 miles) south of Tehran, on April 28, 2024. The Bushehr nuclear power plant, aimed at providing electricity and diversifying energy resources, began construction in 1975 after Iran signed a contract with the German company Siemens. However, the Islamic Revolution in 1979 halted the construction, and Germany ceased work due to political sanctions. After years of delays, Iran reached an agreement with Russia in 2004 to complete the project. The Bushehr nuclear power plant became fully operational and connected to the national electricity grid in 2011, marking it as Iran's first and only active nuclear power plant. Britain's Queen Elizabeth

One of Japan's 1st female lawmakers dies

TOKYO, Japan - A 1975 file photo shows Shizue Yamaguchi, elected in 1946 as one of Japan's first female lawmakers. She died of kidney failure at a Tokyo hospital on April 3, it was announced on Oct. 31, 2012. She was 94.
