A founding member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Lloyd later received an Honorary Oscar in 1952. This is one of many photos reproduced from original 8 x 10 negatives that are part of Lloyd's personal photograph and paper collection recently donated to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences' Margaret Herrick Library by Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter of the silent era star and chair of the Harold Lloyd Trust.
