Toyota to use sugarcane-based material for car interior lining

NAGOYA, Japan - Toyota Motor Corp. said on Oct. 13, 2010, that it will introduce a new vehicle lining material -- bio-polyethylene terephthalate, or bio-PET -- that is made 30 percent from sugarcane to reduce petroleum consumption. (Kyodo)
