Sanyo to release solar battery charger system

OSAKA, Japan - Sanyo Electric Co., the world's No. 4 solar battery maker, said Oct. 31 it will release a solar battery charger system on Nov. 21. The system can charge solar batteries at high speed and unaffected by weather by storing electrical power generated by sunlight in built-in lithium-ion batteries, the company said. (Kyodo)
