Yellow sand hits western Japan

FUKUOKA, Japan - Unseasonable yellow sand makes the atmosphere hazy in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, on Nov. 12, 2010. Yellow sand, usually observed during spring carried from deserts in China by westerly winds, was also seen in other parts of western Japan. (Kyodo)
