APEC leaders start two-day summit
BUSAN, South Korea - Leaders from 21 Pacific Rim economies begin their two-day annual summit in South Korea's port city of Busan on Nov. 18 to explore avenues for advancing troubled global market-opening negotiations and averting an avian flu pandemic. The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation forum leaders are expected to issue a strong political message to push forward the World Trade Organization talks, ahead of a key WTO ministerial meeting in Hong Kong in December.
