Police obtain arrest warrant for N. Korean woman for abducting S

NIIGATA, Japan - Japanese police obtained an arrest warrant on Nov. 2 for Kim Myong Suk (in portrait released by police) a North Korean woman believed to be in her 70s or 80s, on suspicion of her involvement in the 1978 abduction of Hitomi Soga from Sado Island in Niigata Prefecture to North Korea. The police said they will ask North Korea, via Japan's foreign ministry, to hand her over. (Kyodo)

      Louboutin Employee Suspected of Stealing Nearly 1.5 Million Euros Worth of Merchandise

A young woman employed by luxury brand Louboutin has been brought to court for the theft of over 700 pairs of shoes and 700 pieces of leather goods. The case came to light thanks to a publication on social networks. Photos of previously unseen models, never before presented to the public, alerted the Louboutin teams. The investigation quickly led to the identification of the culprit, a young woman who held a position of responsibility within the company. Investigations revealed a well-honed modus operandi. The employee allegedly took advantage of her position to steal high-value parts, which she then resold on the black market, making substantial profits. The activist's stopover in Nuuk was to refuel before continuing on to the North Pacific, as part of a mission targeting the Kangei Maru, Japan's new whaling factory ship.
