Popular children's writer Kenjiro Haitani dies at 72
TOKYO, Japan - Kenjiro Haitani (file photo taken in January, 2005), a popular author who cheered up children through his books including ''A Rabbit's Eyes,'' dies of esophageal cancer at a hospital in Shizuoka Prefecture on Nov. 23. He was 72. (Kyodo)
